Teresina Ghost Town

Yesterday was the celebration of Teresina´s 153rd birthday. So, there was a holiday here, Nádya had the day off, and we went on a little tour of downtown Teresina in the afternoon.
I was a bit surprised at how sparse the population was there. Most of the time the sidewalks are so crowded that one must be persistent in order to find one´s way through the crowds of shoppers, vendors, and other people. Yesterday we barely even had to look before crossing the street!

I took the camera and got some decent photographs that I am willing to share with you. There is not a lot of room to tell you about the photos. In most cases, I know a good deal more about the picture than the caption will allow me to put in, but I will do my best to explain them in the titles. If you have questions please ask. I will research and get back to you.

Only ten days left as an engaged couple!!! The wedding plans are coming together, of course there are minor hurdles to jump here and there (prayer is always appreciated), but I think the major ones are behind us.

I have been emailing back and forth with some of you consistently the past few days, and have enjoyed that a lot. Thank you for writing. It helps me know what I need to say here as well as gives me something to do!

Enjoy the pictures!!
