After I posted that last post I wished I had waited until I was less tired and had clearer thoughts. But then maybe I would have never gotten to doing it. Oh well. I still want to go back and fill you in on my impressions of those first couple of days. But that will wait for another post; today I am just wallowing in the wonderfulness of being a new dad. I love it.
There are downsides, but fortunately the beauty of it all sets those aside and makes them seem insignificant. Having a newborn in the house is a lot of work, and really changes the way everything is done. Fortunately Nádya's mother and cousin are helping with the cooking and cleaning so that I can help Nádya and Kylie.
Nádya continues to get better, though she has quite a way to go until complete recovery is closer. We think she would have been a lot better off in the first place without the other patient who was in the room the first night in the hospital. She had a ton of friends in there all night. But that is something I want to cover in another post...
Kylie mostly eats, sleeps, and poops; which is great because that is what she is supposed to be doing. :D When she is wakeful, though, those are precious moments where she gets to be extra adorable.
