Our Second Ultrasound

The good news is that we are fairly sure of the sex of our baby. The bad news is that we are not entirely sure that it is a girl (so that dress my mother-in-law bought yesterday might have been a pre-mature purchase.).

We again have the video from the ultrasound, and I can post that next time I get to the internet. The doctor (or is he "just" a technician? I am not sure.) was sure enough that it is a girl that he marked it as such, but was also uncertain enough that he said we could come back in a month for another look. We may not take him up on that, but are not completely sure.

Here is a photo of Nadya looking at the images of our child on the machine. That is the head of the baby on the left, and the abdomen on the right of the screen.

I thought I would also leave you with a picture of what is going on in the outside world of our baby:

  1. Technicians are not able (therefore not allowed) to do ultrasounds. It was certainly a doctor. So, how is your daughter going to be called??
    Congratulations!!

  2. Thank you both for the congratulations.

I am not sure, Anonymous, where you are from. In the US, I think (someone correct me if I am wrong) that ultrasounds are given by technicians, or a specially trained person that only does ultrasounds. Then a Doctor looks at the ultrasound to evaluate it and give results to the patient.

If you are Brazilian, then I defer to your statement that it was a doctor (as I recall, he was, but not with 100% certainty).

    Thanks for reading!
